Best Denver Locations for Photo Sessions | Branding Photographer Gaelle Glass

I feel incredibly lucky to call Denver, Colorado “home.” It lends itself to beauty in the abundance of nature and within pockets of the downtown city.

I’ve photographed in most of these areas on multiple occasions. The ones I haven’t photographed at yet, are on my to-do list this year. If any of these places look great to you, let’s set up your session!

While this is only a small list of the beautiful places around Denver, I can shoot just about anywhere. I’m always up for a unique spot!

Best Locations for a Photoshoot Around Denver, Colorado

Denver Union Station is a local favorite for just about everyone.

Inside can get quite busy, but it’s filled with beautiful light and architecture! There’s also a nice little coffee shop inside that is beautiful for intimate branding portraits.

Outside, there are plenty of trendy restaurants, bars, and shops to photograph in or around. The architecture and historic buildings in the area work well for headshots and personal branding because the environment naturally looks sophisticated.

Cheesman Park has a lot of history, and some folklore. It was once a cemetery, but for over 100 years, it’s been a dedicated city park.

Cheesman Park has a beautiful memorial pavilion and plenty of open space for outdoor portraits. The spaces around Cheesman Park are really versatile too. The covered pavilion area is perfect for setting up an outdoor “office space” for headshots.

Red Rocks are perfect for anyone that loves nature or wants a nature backdrop!

The Red Rocks are great for any type of portrait session. The color of the Red Rocks compliment anyone’s skin tone perfectly.

My favorite time of day to shoot here at the Red Rocks is in the morning. The morning light contrasted against the natural Red Rocks sets the scene for a beautiful natural backdrop. The park is usually pretty empty in the mornings, too - which allows for more privacy!

Shared Office Space “Spaces Fillmore Street” is the perfect space to create new headshots and personal branding portraits.

Spaces Fillmore Street is an open-concept workspace near downtown Denver. It feels more like a coffee shop than an office. It has dedicated desks spaces, private offices, and lots of windows to allow for natural light to pour in.

Denver Photo Collective is a photography studio space available for photographers to rent out on an as-needed basis. And bonus - I’m also supporting another woman owned business by renting the studio!

The Denver photo collective is a beautiful indoor studio with props available for use. They have gorgeous chairs, couches, and backdrops.

The space is open concept and has white walls that reflect light, creating crisp natural looking photos. The large North facing windows allow for the best light anytime from sunrise to sunset, which is great, because that means your photo session can be scheduled at just about any time of day!

Best Places Around Denver for Urban Feeling Photo Sessions

RiNo Art District would be a great spot for someone that wants bright, bold, statement portraits!

The RiNo Art District has plenty of murals, graffiti, bright colors, textures, and natural materials to provide a genuine urban vibe.

Denver Central Market is a great local market that has 11 food vendors to choose. Not only do they serve wonderful food, but they also support our local Denver artists here!

Grabbing a meal or cup of coffee at the Denver Central Market would be perfect for branding portraits. If you’re hoping for a lively outdoor scene, there are bright urban murals all around the building too.

LoHi and Riverfront Park is a hip neighborhood with great views of the city skyline. It has a lot of trendy bars, modern architecture, and cool bridges too. If you’re wanting your session to encompass the heart of Denver while also having a lifestyle and urban feel, LoHi and the Riverfront Park area would be perfect!
